Are Your Ads Reaching The Wrong People?12/4/2020
2. Your Audience Isn't Defined Correctly.Have you edited your audience on your ad to include all your service areas? Or define interests you want to reach? If you're a roofing company, you may want to reach people who are interested in home appliances (Because usually only home-owners would be) but maybe not people interested in real estate (it's to broad of a category. Many people interested in that probably wont own a home). Make 100% sure your ads are reaching the right people. 3. Your Ad is Bad.Fixing the Prior two issues would hopefully be enough to get some interest built up in your business, however there is always the possibility that your ad just isn't interesting enough. Is your ad just a picture of your logo or your building? Maybe make it a video instead, or use an interesting graphic. Adobe Spark is a great free resource to design better looking photo ads for free. 4. Promote to an Engaged Audience. Why blow your whole budget to keep promoting to people that aren't interacting with your ads? Facebook has an advertising option to promote specifically to people that have interacted with your posts within the last year (Or whatever defined date range you select). We typically recommend that after a few months of promoting for engagement or reach, start splitting your budget. Use half the budget to keep reaching new people, and half the budget to reach people that have already interacted with your page's posts. This will be the main tool to actually drive up profits from your social media investment. This is just one of the many strategies Just It Marketing uses to help small businesses grow online. Grow Your Reach First. It's unlikely (especially in smaller communities like Cowlitz County) that people are going to give their information out to a company they've never heard of, so to combat this, focus on getting your name out there prior to running lead generation ads! People are much more trusting of companies they've already heard of, especially if you push the "We're a small business" angle. At Just It Marketing, we specialize in helping small businesses reach their local communities and beyond, so give us a call if you're looking to grow! Promote to your existing Audience. Once you have a monthly reach of 5k+ (Depending on what your company is), you should begin running lead generation ads if you're a service based business. On Facebook you have the option to run ads towards people who have interacted with your posts in the past, so use this to your advantage! (Remember, "It's unlikely that people are going to give their information out to a company they've never heard of"). We recommend pairing lead generation ads like this with ads specifically meant to increase interactions. Therefor growing the audience of the lead generation ad. Don't get too personal. People are weary of giving out too much personal info on the internet, so keep it as simple as possible. Typically just ask for their name, phone number, and email while ignoring options like Asking For Their Address. Doing this will make people feel more comfortable following through with filling out the lead form. Hire the experts. Just It Marketing specializes in growing small businesses on social media, so instead of worrying about things like "What am I gonna post today?", or "Are my ads doing what I want?", just worry about running your business, and let us do the rest!
